But they didnt have a budget for an extension either? They asked us to come up with an alternative.  This is it.  We have kept the base of the existing,  after having a structural investigation.  We replaced the hardwood rotting frames and doors with Steel reinforced Upvc frames, Guardian Warm Roof to sit upon. This heavily insulated roof has 2 skylight features with self cleaning Gas.  It lets  in a ton of more natural light. We put 6 spot lights in the ceiling space complete with a dimmer switch.  We have completed an  amazing shape, with a finished plaster effect of the hipped roof. The entrance to the conservatory from the dining room is through sliding doors which were also supplied and fitted by us, and a pair also fitted to the  conservatory. The roof tiles are a lovely Red which matches with house Brick. The client chose woodgrain on woodgrain for frame colors. (Inside and out): much cheaper than an extension but a fabulous job.
