We knocked the plaster off the walls back to brick, renewed the electrics in the room, and installed a new window at the bottom. The chimney was left exposed for character. We raked out and repointed the brickwork, followed by an acid clean for a crisp finish.
We fitted new 7-inch lamb’s tongue skirting and architrave. As the original ceiling was too wavy to overboard, we built a false ceiling from timber, plasterboarded it, and added coving for a refined look.
